The frequently asked question: Should I Quit?

Being in a dilemma will make all of us to be confused. I believed everybody must have faced some situation like this and don't really know what to do.

To be honest,I really don't know the exact answer myself if you ask me. The answer lies in you. Only you knows what you want to do and what you can do.

You asked,should I quit now?

My answer as follows:

1) Ask yourself what is happening now? What is the problem that makes you thinking of quitting?
2) List all the things you can do to earn a living if you quit.
3) Ask yourself if you are ready to earn lesser (I mean much lesser) than your current earning. List all your commitments.
4) Check your savings. Do you have at least 6 months worth of your expenses in your account?

Only you know what you want. My advice is, don't quit if you don't have 6 months expenses worth of money in your account because they will eventually help you to survive. Because I know, it is hard to get what you earn currently out there. Plan ahead, I mean get to know every details no matter what your decision is and don't forget to plan the escape plan if things not following what you already planned.

Now you can take a piece of paper and start list all the things above and plan ahead.

Adieu.

  1. Salam and hi to all. I just started a group in Facebook for all medical graduates in Malaysia who decided not to practice medicine anymore regardless of reason. I'm planning to form an association that acts as a support group for those who are planning to or had already quit medicine in the future. Come and join us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/quitmedicine/
